What's trending?

Between the 9th and 12th of October Olympia London became a heart of design, with exciting new launches, engaging talks, and craft demonstrations.

I could not miss it, so on Sunday morning half asleep I was on the train to London.

It was the only opportunity to see a varied spectrum of interior design brands displaying their most recent collections of stunning furniture, rugs, textiles, lighting, and art under one roof.

What caught my eye? Have a look!

These two beautiful black swans by Avalana definitely stole my heart. Bold, hand painted mural like that is not just a wall covering, it's an artwork! Avalana's pieces include very trendy tropical, and wildlife inspired wallpapers, fabrics, bedding and lampshades.

How about adding some dimension to the walls? Modern 3D wall covering is an ultimate way to add interest to your walls or furniture.

Walls have power. They can be invisible, but they can be so much more. Wall tie a room together or divide it. They determine the mood of a space, whether serenity, grandeur, homeliness or festivity. - ORAC Decor

fot. Gosia - grain pendants by Tamasine Osher

These biophilic pendants by Tamashine Osher are hand turned by highly skilled master craftsmen from waste timber sourced in the UK. Both rustic and refined they bring the forest inside in a contemporary way. The lamps are turned so thin that they are translucent and when illuminated, reveal the wood grain, markings and history of the tree. With the bark included the pendants expose the tree from its outside to its heart.

Each shade is unique in shape, size and pattern.

And more stunning lighting from Curiousa with its organic feel and beautifully modern approach; Sophie Dries by Kaia - created from natural and reusable materials; contemporary and elegant Marc Wood lighting handcrafted in London; or stunning Melina pendant by Hand & Eye.

Among the beautiful products on show were those that combine classic reference with forward-looking design, often offering customisation to fit the needs and styles of different customers.

I'm looking forward to the next year's show!

Gosia.
