Waves & Whispers: My First Photography Exhibition

Hey there, my lovely interior design blog readers! I know it's been a while since my last post, but I promise you there was a good reason behind it. For the last couple of months I've been embroiled in a whirlwind of creative chaos, and it's all thanks to my very first and very own photography exhibition – "Waves & Whispers."

On the 1st of October, the stars aligned, and I had the immense pleasure of welcoming friends and fellow art enthusiasts to the Patchings Art Centre. This marked the glorious opening day of "Waves & Whispers," an event that surpassed all my expectations with its sheer excitement and unparalleled beauty.

Of course, the road to my exhibition was not without its fair share of dramatic hiccups. Picture this: the day before the exhibition, when I should have been hanging up all my meticulously crafted frames in the gallery, my car decided it was the perfect time to go on strike! Can you believe it? It's almost as if my car wanted to be part of the art world's dramatic flair. It was an amusing setback, though, and luckily, a good friend of mine saved the day.

But the drama didn't end there! While hanging up the pictures in the gallery, one of the frame windows decided to break! As they say, life doesn't always glide through like a canoe on a serene lake. Fear not, after reframing, it was restored to its former glory.

Now, let me share some moments from the exhibition opening with you. It was a delightful gathering of friends and art lovers, and the atmosphere was electric with excitement. The photos on display were like old friends, each telling a story, a whisper, or a wave from my own adventures in capturing the beauty of nature.

For those who haven't had the chance to visit yet, don't worry. "Waves & Whispers" is here to stay until the 26th of November. Coincidentally, that happens to be during the Christmas Fair at Patchings Art Centre. And you guessed it – I'll be there! So, make a date and drop by for an artful and festive experience.

Now, I'm absolutely thrilled to share a little piece of good news from Outdoor Photography Magazine. They were kind enough to acknowledge my exhibition with a lovely note:

Gosia, a visual artist hailing from Poland and now rooted in the UK for two decades invites you to witness the delicate dance between land and water, where elements merge and boundaries fade. In this exhibition, Gosia's photographs blur the lines between reality and perception, creating a space for viewers to let their own imagination take flight.

“Gosia’s imagery is rich in visual narrative, inviting a sense of wonder and introspection" says OP columnist Pete Bridgwood. "Her photographs serve as a canvas for your imagination to paint its own stories, encouraging you to explore your own relationship with the coast. Her mastery of technique combined with her poetic vision offers a welcome fresh perspective on landscape photography”

I invite each and every one of you to come and experience "Waves & Whispers" in person, to witness the stories and emotions I've captured through my lens.

And here's a fun little competition for all you amazing readers. Can you guess which one of my frames suffered the window mishap? The first three readers who can correctly guess will receive, by post (UK only), a special set of 12 prints, each sized 5x7, showcasing some of my favourite photographs from the exhibition. It's a small token of my appreciation for your support and engagement. So, make your guess, and let the adventure continue. Good luck, and thank you for being part of my artistic journey! Don't' forget to subscribe to my blog! 📸🖼️🤞
